Hello friends! debvandet designs is ME - Deborah - a little goth, a little girly, sometimes glamorous, often grungy.
I have made art and craft all my life, studied art history and library science, spent far too much time in school, and finally realized MAKING things, beautiful things to hold and wear and hopefully pass down is where I find my bliss.
I volunteer/teach Art Literacy, garden organically, recycle fanatically, and read avidly. I struggle to live a balanced life between my personal creative needs and the needs of my family and community.

I have been digitizing (designing) embroidery for the past nine years. I work out of a spare room in my house. All of my items are made by me, and hand trimmed.
I so love Dia de Los Muertos, so I kind of keep that my main theme. Although, I love tattoo art, Mexican folkart, and upcycled items.

Artist Bio:
I enjoy everything art, but have tried to remain focused on doll making, acrylic paint work, mosaics and mixed-media~ I find them fascinating, inspiring and cathartic.
I have been working as an artist for almost 23 years. I have been selling my art in local PA shops and galleries for 7 years, and I am excited to be expanding to on-line sales.
I have been published in the fall ('08) issue of Art Doll Quarterly, and am presently represented by Pennsylvania based gift/art shops, as well as a Colorado based gallery for my mixed-media recycled art sculptures.
